About

Now located in London, I am a graduate of the School of Music, University College Cork, Ireland, where I completed the Master of Arts in Ethnomusicology. In the same school I did the honors degree in Music (B.Mus.). For my Masters, I submitted a research thesis entitled 'Flow' and 'Insider'/'Outsider' Positions in an Irish Traditional Music Session.  My research interests include: transmission, ensemble practice, performance theory and practice. I am a traditional Irish fiddle player from County Clare, located in Ireland's Mid West region. I enjoy listening to many kinds of music. I also enjoy travelling, cooking, composing music, teaching and watching films.

Having submitted my M.A. dissertation, I plan to continue researching, writing, and presenting papers. In the future I may pursue a doctoral qualification. I would love to hear from anyone who has similar research interests.
